The Eurostars Joint Programme is a European innovation programme managed by EUREKA. Its purpose is to provide funding for market-oriented research and development with the active participation of ‘Research and Development performing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises’ (R&D-performing SMEs). Eurostars is a joint initiative between EUREKA and the EU Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7).
Eurostars has two fix deadlines, so called cutt-off dates per year to submit proposals.

Funding is not guaranteed, but depends on an evaluation of a the project’s potential and the expected economic return.

Read moreOn Friday 11 January 2013 EUREKA launched a new call for technological innovation projects.
Twelve national funding agencies are taking part in the call; they are based in Austria, Canada, Croatia,
Czech Republic, Finland, The Netherlands, Romania, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
The best international research projects selected will be invited to submit their applications to the EUREKA scheme or the Eurostars Programme 10th cut-off.
Applications are to be submitted before Friday 15 February 2013 either to National Project Coordinators or the EUREKA Secretariat at jointrdcall@eurekanetwork.org.
