The Lombardy region is indeed one of the main motors of the Italian economy, on its own contributing more than one fifth of the entire country’s GDP. The region is among those which are trying to lead Italy out of the economic crisis and consequently presents various opportunities.
From January 2012 the CTI will be participating in an ERA-NET project in the European Research Area.
The ERASynBio project will run for 36 months and is aimed at developing and coordinating national and regional research programmes in the field of synthetic biology in the European area. A total of 16 countries are taking part in the project.
In the course of 2012 EraSynBio will launch a call for submissions of R&D proposals.

Implementation of new KTT Support – NTN call launched
The Board of the CTI is reorienting the strategy on KTT Support.
With the commencement of the 2013-2016 ERI Dispatch period, three elements will be introduced which are intended to provide sustainable support to the innovation activities of Swiss businesses:
